“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.” John Bunyon

“Giving back” is a worthy and laudable goal for many women.

During these challenging economic times, wouldn\’t it be nice to be able to help others by doing something that is free, enjoyable, good for your brain, and can be done on your own terms and schedule?

Here are three online games that accomplish that goal:

Free Rice For each correct multiple choice answer, they donate 10 grains of rice to the World Food Programme.

Free Kibble When you play this trivia game, ten pieces of kibble are donated to animal shelters

Charitii A crossword puzzle that allows you to donate food, water, education, or help preserve the rain forest through four non-profit organizations.

I use these as examples of easy and no-cost ways to contribute to others in my new book, AARP\’s The Single Woman\’s Guide to Retirement.

Let me know what you think of them – they might just replace (or supplement) Words with Friends! Be careful…they can be addictive!
