Midlife often finds us trying to figure out what look is too young for and what’s too old? We certainly don’t want to don polyester pants with elastic waistbands from years gone by, but what should we wear? Women don’t want our stomachs hanging out while wearing low waisted, hip hugger pants like our daughters, and men certainly don’t want to wear the pants so far down their behinds, they look like they’re falling off. If you’re trying to figure out what’s appropriate casual or business attire for Boomers, you might want to browse Sherrie’s picture book.

Within the pages, you’ll find precisely what to, and what not to wear. You may find yourself saying, “Oh gosh, is that what I look like when I wear that style?” It’s eye opening to see what’s not cool and what’s forever cool while leafing through the photos of men and women born between 1946 and 1964. You’ll learn that something as simple as a hairstyle, long and parted in the middle, can date you back to the 60s. Even certain accessories like eyeglasses in the aviator shape, or men wearing a gold chain with several buttons unbuttoned can take you back to your disco days.

The author explains why colors, fit, and style have much to do with your final polished look. She teaches you what to wear for the gym, beach, black tie affair, office and casual gatherings. The majority of the book is photos so it’s a simple read. With a quick glance, you’ll figure out what doesn’t work, and what works best for you so you can gad about with confidence, knowing you are dressed appropriately for your Boomer age.
